It’s Not Over Yet!

It’s Not Over Yet!

If I could just have 2017 again and again I think I would. Cuba, Glastonbury, Montenegro, hen do, Ibiza, moving into our new flat, getting married and a (slightly haphazard) honeymoon in Cornwall have been the incredible highlights of this otherwise also brilliant year (that still has nearly two months left to go #highhopes!)

I didn’t really have a wedding come down which was a surprise. I’ve been riding the wave of how amazing it was, feeling so happy and lucky for how well it went and how stupidly awesome our friends and family are. I think it’s easy to see it as being all over, but I’ve been trying to see it as the beginning. I have a sense of being “free” now all the planning has stopped but I know the only way to keep the wedding blues at bay is to get new projects on the horizon.

This year has really made me realise how creating memories with people can change friendships. One experience, event or instance can alter the direction of your life and your outlook. Getting involved, taking risks and being enthusiastic can open up opportunities for you and make a huge difference to those around you. Surround yourself with people who excite you and make time for your friends and for meeting new people. Try new things.

It’s time for me to get out more, create something new and do more writing and blogging. Yesterday was my first day as a Young Enterprise mentor at West Somerset College and I’m so excited to see how the students progress and maybe steal a few of their business ideas (that’s allowed right?!)

Marketing work has also been too good to be true this year. I’ve mainly been working with the Coca-Cola London Eye on their social strategy and content and for group – blogging for their company LinkedIn page, writing internal comms, policies and on projects like their Culture Book and Employee Handbook.

>>> Weekly Eye on London blog for Coca-Cola London Eye and over 2,500 tweets, Facebook and Instagram posts!

>>> The Haunting Truth Behind the Death Express for London Dungeon

>>> Blogging for group

>>> Concept, content and design brief for these little London Eye Valentine’s Z-Cards

I’m trying to get the perfect balance of home, office and country life in Exmoor mixed with travelling to London every 3-4 weeks for project meetings and networking, networking and more networking.

Stay in touch on email or social and let me know what you’re up to and if you’re free for some networking soon.

P.S. I’ll be sending out a 2018 Marketing Calendar template soon and telling you about the new love of my life… my bullet journal, so sign up on the Thoughtfully homepage to receive the blog by email if you haven’t already.
