THorpe park
(HEAD OF MARKETING INTERIM)

Thorpe Park asked me to complete a six-week project for them as interim Head of Marketing (July-September 2019). A key project was reviewing their 2019 marketing activity and planning 2020 marketing strategy.



THE LONDON EYE
(COPYWRITER - WEB, SOCIAL & CONTENT PLANNING)

From 2016-2018, I worked on the social strategy for the London Eye, planning and writing the content for their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts and the weekly #EyeLoveLondon blog.

LASTMINUTE.COM GROUP
(COPYWRITER - CAMPAIGNS AND INTERNAL COMMS)

For over three years I have been supporting leading online travel retailer lastminute.com Group with internal and external communications - newsletters, online content and rebranding internal docs. I have become their go-to copywriter for the different brands and teams across the globe.

I also work closely with their media company, Forward, on marketing strategy and creating content for their agencies - Playbook and Travelpeople - and, in turn, their clients including Visit Britain, Brand USA, San Diego Tourist Board and South Africa Tourism.

LONDON REVEALED MAGAZINE 
(EDITOR)

On a bi-monthly basis, Park Plaza Hotels and Resorts produce London Revealed magazine which goes into all of their hotel rooms, locations across London and online. It contains travel stories, features on their bars and restaurants, live entertainment listings and interviews. I project manage the production - writing, editing and creating the design brief, working with designer Angela Lyons



FOXES ACADEMY 
(COPYWRITER - EMAIL NEWSLETTERS & SOCIAL MEDIA TRAINING)

Foxes Academy and Foxes Hotel are a truly inspirational organisation - setting the benchmark as a specialist catering and training college for young adults with learning disabilities. In 2015 a three-part documentary series all about them - The Special Needs Hotel - was shown on Channel 5. 

It's a pleasure to work for them, creating the Academy's social media planners, delivering training sessions for staff and writing copy for their newsletters. 

POWERLEAGUE and powerplay
(digital/social strategy & planning)

A six-week in-house project at the beginning of 2020 to create a strategy and content plan across web, email and social channels at a central and club level (for 39 clubs) and two brands.



SECRET ESCAPES

Re-writing hotel and destination listings to optimise them for sales on Secret Escapes. 

CHESSINGTON WORLD OF ADVENTURES RESORT 
(SENIOR MARKETING PROJECT MANAGER - rebrand)

After working for the company as the Resort Marketing Manager, then leaving to set up Thoughtfully, they brought me back as a freelance project manager. 

In 2013, the theme park resort decided to make an early exit from their franchise agreement with InterContinental Hotels. They wanted to rebrand the hotel, becoming the fully-themed Chessington Resort with two African style hotels, complete with a savannah! I project managed the franchise exit including the full online and offline rebrand, and the changing over of the hotel systems.
