FIVE THINGS PEOPLE SAID, THAT GOT STUCK IN MY HEAD, AT TED

What an incredible Friday I just had, spent with my best friend, in my favourite city, binging on live TEDx talks all day.

The theme at TEDx Brighton 2018 was ‘Journeys and Adventures’ and there were 19 speakers in total. Since leaving the auditorium I have barely stopped thinking about how to save the planet, what social enterprises I can set up, and what adventures to go on - ‘carving out spaces inside myself’ as the brilliant MC for the day, Sanderson Jones, so beautifully put it. But here are five quotes and concepts from some of the speakers that really stuck inside my head...

  1. Stories that aren’t told die inside the mind. - Alex Ntung

  2. Evil flourishes when it’s not pointed out. - Alex Ntung

  3. Is it one day or day one? - Jules White

  4. Follow the patient (don’t let your expectations restrict recovery or progress). - Ben Clench

  5. What we consume in terms of media and technology is as important to our wellbeing as what we put in our mouths. - Dr Linda Papadopoulos
